Separate Lives is a book from the bargain bin and I didn't even properly check whether I'd like it or not, only that the writer is English and I almost always like English writers (even when I don't so much). So I gave this one a go. And in the end it is one of those novels the Brits call "bonk busters" (a pun to blockbuster I suppose), chick - lit etc. I didn't like it very much since it has a certain awareness and the usual chick lit clichés we know and I like didn't really work but it was an easy read and that's about all I require while fasting.
