Magic Mike

Magic Mike is another Florida film I watched yesterday. This time it is about male strippers in Tampa. A 19 year old young man is initiated into the business after meeting Mike who is only doing it to save money to start his own custom made furniture business (not doing a very good job) since he cannot get a loan from a bank. The teen's sister is a nice lady and Mike likes her but she is also very different from the people he hang out with and she forces him to face the reality (there is not much future in stripping). This is a slice of life with a smooth character arc. The hot cast does stripping numbers (and they all enjoyed it based on the short "making of" in the dvd) and they look good  but watching anyone stripping for money is not something that I enjoy. Aside from the rather painful to watch strip scenes, I liked the film and Mike character (acted by Chaning Tatum). Recommended regardless of your views on stripping.
