And The Mountains Echoed well I LOVED The Kite Runner (shed copious amount of tears over it and I still remember it very fondly) which was a book I have forced on even to my colleagues at work (and they thanked me later) and I also liked A Thousand Splendid Suns but not as much as The Kite Runner. This one is a good novel and differs a bit from the other two. We are introduced to and look into many characters and in different stages of their lives. It is a touching book and my eyes filled from time to time but it was not a crying fest as the other two. All in all I recommend but if you have not read anything by this writer, start with The Kite Runner.
