Always

Always is a S.Korean film I have been meaning to watch. Not only because it looks like melo rom but more importantly I love both its lead actors So Ji Sub and Han Hyo Jo.

The film is directed by Song Il Gon, whose Flower Island I have watched and liked (didn't know he directed this one).

So Ji Sub (who is so good looking that it is just a pleasure to watch him) is an ex boxer with a shady past (that includes jail time) and Han Hyo Jo (adorable and a good actress) is a blind call center employee who is left an orphan at the accident which caused her to go blind. They meet after So replaces the old men as a car part guide who Han visits and watched dramas at night (well she isn't "watching" them with her eyes but listens to them and asks questions) her adorableness and frankness (mentioning that he smells) gets to her and they start first to go out and then live together. He is back to boxing (now ultimate fighting) and saves money to open her a studio where she can make pots etc. to sell. But he finds out that there is a way that she can see and the reason she never did it was because it's expensive and because she feels guilty of the car crash that killed her parents. She was watching a burning man jump out of the window, a very odd sight that caused her not to pay attention to the road and the man burned himself because he was getting beat up by So. Now he not only wants her to gain her sight but also feels responsible of making her blind and killing her parents (the burning man survived and is regularly visited in the hospital by So). Also if she doesn't have the operation soon, her eyes will go even worse and she'll be inoperable - so it is her last chance. And of course So lets a shady ex boxer to arrange a top secret match in Thailand (they actually erased his id, gave him a new one and paid the advance right away so he was able to pay the hospital before leaving for the match)
He survives and wins the game but is robbed and stabbed on his return to S.Korea. Han tries to find him but can't since all his data is erased etc.

Well this one pleased me very much but it is not as good as, say Eraser In My Head. But I have shed the tears and was scared that they will not end up together (one never knows with S.Korean films).
