Kurtuluş Son Durak (This is a name of a neighbourhood in Istanbul, but also literal translation is "Salvation Last Stop)
A physco therapist who is ditched days before her wedding closes up her practise and moves into the flat she was supposed to move in after she got married. Curious neighbours are a hairdresser, an ex bar singer (who is the mistress of a married mobster), a housewife who is a victim of spousal abuse, an older woman who takes care of her ancient father and an alcoholic writer.
They were intrusive and curious about her at first and she tells them off but when she tried to committed suicide (only to be found and saved by a burglar) they are all there for her never leaving her alone. She in return tries to find a way to help her abused neighbour - she calls the police but the detective is friends with the abusive husband.
This film is a black comedy and actually was very funny, I guess to females. It killed a bit of the humour by trying to hammer a message into our heads (Turkey unfortunately is one of the countries where women are killed or currently beaten by their spouses and these monster men do not get enough jail time to prevent this sort of crime). All the same I had a good time despite the female lead not being able to act (the rest of the cast were excellent).
