Birthday Girl is a film that never interested me since I didn't really like Nicole Kidman back then. Now that I do, I gave it a try and I liked it very much. First off I liked the little oddness and perversion of the male lead. He is a bank clerk who purchases a wife from Russia. He is kind and nice but also likes kinky sex (tying women up during sex). I didn't see that coming. I also liked his reaction to the scam. And I liked the happy ending too. So all in all this was good timepass.
