The Heart's Invisible Furies turned out to be a much better novel. I have purchased this one from a bargain sale and didn't expect much out of it but I liked it a lot. It has a vicious sense of humour that normally would not have worked on me but it did and I have actually laughed out loud during this historical fiction about the trials of a gay man. Starting from his birth in 1945 (just after the end of the war) and until 2015 I guess. It was engaging and I'm happy that I had already purchased another novel of this guy (without being aware, ooopss).
