Temeraire Book 1 His Majesty's Dragon

Temeraire Book 1 His Majesty's Dragon is not a novel I'd pick up if written by someone else since the plot and the AU do not appeal to me in the least. I'm not that much into dragons either. I mean I like them and all but they are not a factor when I choose what to read/watch. The reason I have chosen this one (and the reason I have already purchased the rest of the series) is Ms. Naomi Novik whose prose and storytelling appealed to me so much so in the two other novels of her I have read that I have decided to give these a go.

And happily this first novel turned out to be fantastic (tears flowed twice). Looking forward to reading the rest.
