The Haunting of Brynn Wilder

The Haunting of Brynn Wilder  is a kind of caucasian upper middle class novel, recommended if you like Mary Higgins Clark novels (only this one is more paranormal than mystery)

Things Heard & Seen

Things Heard & Seen is not very good, but I liked it anyway. I have a soft spot for Amanda Seyfried.

The Way of The House Husband

 Photo from wikipedia

The Way of The House Husband has only one gimmick but that worked so well with me. I laughed out loud during viewing and loved the whole thing.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final

Photo from wikipedia

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final    I liked it, especially when old enemies become new friends. I like a good man who inspires others to be good.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends

Photo from wikipedia

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends    it was very good. I especially liked the last fight (4 against the baddie)

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno

Photo from wikipedia

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno   was ok I suppose. I like the fights but fell asleep and had to rewind at some point.

The Silent Wife

The Silent Wife   great novel. Karin Slaughter always delivers.

How to Catch A Wild Viscount

How to Catch A Wild Viscount  Tessa Dare novels manage to put a smile on my face usually and this one was not an exception. Nice little novella.

Mr. Mercedes S:1

Mr. Mercedes   I really liked this season. It is fairly loyal to the book and I think the casting was top notch.

The Sisters

The Sisters is a tidy little mystery and I enjoyed it very much, in fact I liked it better than the novel (The Ruin) I read by the same author. Recommended.

Wish Dragon

Wish Dragon   it was alright.

Tears   twice heavy crying without noise.

A Suitable Boy

A Suitable Boy is exceptionally good. Everything in it worked for me so well that I wanted to shake the author's hand at the end.

It is emotional, humorous, at some scenes full of suspense and dread and takes you on a rollercoaster of great storytelling.

The Last Flight

The Last Flight is good and well intentioned and I enjoyed it.

Milkman

Milkman  it is different but not so very different and I love the reader's performance.

Sweet And Sour

Photo from imdb

Sweet And Sour  a sober film about relationships with a twist I did not see coming. I liked it.

Master of None Moments in Love

 Photo from imdb

Master of None  Moments of Love    I really liked this exploration of a relationship/marriage over the years. I love the visuals and the actors, everything worked nicely. I'm not sure whether I like Aziz Ansari as an actor of a comedian but as a director, he is good.

Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar

Photo from imdb

Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar    No. It missed all the marks.

Faceless Killers

Faceless Killers  I liked this a lot. Kurt Wallander is a bit of a naughty boy but his heart is in the right place and the mysteries and their resolutions were interesting. I hope to continue the series.

The Equalizer 2

Photo from imdb

The Equalizer 2   I liked this one better than the first.

Tear meter:  yes I even cried silent flowing tears at the end of this one.

Word of Honour

Photo from imdb

Word of Honour was entertaining kind of, despite being no where as good as The Untamed. The lead actors were not as good and the only story that got emotional response from me was the secondary one.

Tear meter:  Strong silent continuous tears for the secondary couple

Mare of Easttown

Photo from imdb

Mare of Easttown   I liked it a lot despite some plot holes and getting spoiler by Stephen King no less. I especially liked how real Kate Winslet look, wrinkles and all.

I'd like to add a tear meter to things I write since I cry watching almost all of them.

Tear meter: Medium, silent tears.

Goedam is not bad, but it is not especially good either. I like it that they saved the best for last. Horror films do not really scare me anymore but I still enjoy watching them. Short films are not really my thing but some of these were better than many feature films I have seen.

Trust No One

Trust No One  it did not work for me, at all. Sometimes this happens without an apparent reason. I'll give it three stars since I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with it. It is not you book, it's me.

The Sword of Kaigen

The Sword of Kaigen  is an excellent novel that kept me awake, mostly with silent tears but at one section bawling out loud. Nothing beats reading a novel you like into the night.
