The Sword of Kaigen is an excellent novel that kept me awake, mostly with silent tears but at one section bawling out loud. Nothing beats reading a novel you like into the night.

Wrath
This one has a very minor plot hole and change of pattern in conversation (a nod to another fantasy author??).

Ruin
Ruin yes I kind of inhaled the third book. And it ended up being my favorite so far. Roller coaster of events, action, emotion and yes tears were shed at certain points. It is one of those novels that you choose to drop everything else and just read.
Valour
Valour is the second novel in The Faithful and The Fallen series and I really liked it, it was even better than the first. I eagerly started the third one right after.

The Fires of Vengeance
The Fires of Vengeance is a great sequel. This time also I dropped everything else while listening to it. I'm looking forward to the next novel in the series.

Rythm of War
Rythm of War well, here are a few opinions. First off, it is not a bad novel but because of the huge world building and upcoming events even turning to science fiction a little bit, I felt some distance towards it. Also my personal problem is the character pov type of storytelling in this one. Usually it is one of my favorite things but here I only like one character (Kaladin) and the rest, not so much. So to me the parts with Kaladin are interesting and exciting but the rest are kind of "very good" to "I don't care".
Although one scene without Kaladin, and I saw what was coming, put me in tears (it might have been the hormones but I don't think so). It was good writing and excellent reading performance.
Well this book does not need any recommendation, if you have not read the other novels in the series, then you must read them first. If you have read them then you should have a fairly good idea of what to expect.

Web of Eyes
Web of Eyes well it was not for me. Maybe more suitable to a young reader who is not very familiar with this type of fantasy.
The audiobook is one of the few that made me want to check out a higher speed than 1 (I didn't) not because of the reader who was really trying but direction choices. This made me appreciate better directed productions.

Stardust
Stardust is actually very entertaining (to me). The cast is very good, the events interesting and I had a ball with it.

Promise of Blood
Promise of Blood yet again this one did not work for me, there is nothing wrong with it. It is just one of those times when I couldn't connect with neither the characters nor the plot.
Unsouled
Unsouled turned out to be not really my thing. Despite the Japanese and Chinese influence in the world building and action scenes I just couldn't get into it.

The Bear And The Nightingale
The Bear And The Nightingale turned out to be a nice read. Enough to have a good listening time but not enough to seek out the rest of the trilogy. This one is not left at a cliffhanger so it is possible to enjoy it as a stand alone.

Best Served Cold
Best Served Cold is even better this time again. I highly recommend and you don't need to read the previous trilogy to enjoy it (but it is a good one so I recommend reading the first three just for the pleasure of it)
A Deadly Education
A Deadly Education is a delightful YA fantasy that is good for the adults too. I really liked it and am looking forward to the next book. Also the audio version is very very good.

The Trouble With Peace
Being by The Blade Itself and see whether it worked for you. But keep in mind that this may just be the best novel in the series.

Lord of The Darkwood and The Tengu's Game of Go
Lord of the Darkwood and The Tengu's Game of Go well the novels were wonderful but I have realised while reading that my copy of Lord of The Darwood included The Tengu's Game of Go which means that the other novel was an unnecessary purchase. Other than that the novel(s) are amazing and I enjoyed them very much.

Autumn Princess, Dragon Child (Book Two of The Tale of Shikanoko)
I have read the first novel more than a year ago but the story flooded back after a few pages. And I enjoyed this very much. It is written by someone who is not from Japan but obviously loves the very old Japanese tales. And the merging of Occident and Orient worked well (for me).
You need to read the first novel before starting this one.

The Emperor's Blades
The Emperor's Blades is very entertaining and surprisingly engaging. It was not a 'drop everything and just listen' type of novel but it is one that made me perform chores slower to keep listening. I plan on getting the second novel. The reader's performance was also very good so I will recommend the audiobook if you can't decide on the format.
