Silent Parade

Silent Parade  I loved it. Perfect. The only thing that did not work for me was the reader but not because of anything being wrong in his reading. The performance was just not for me.

Demon Slayer

 Photo from wikipedia

Demon Slayer  turned out to be wonderful. I just loved it to bits and hope to watch more of it. I love good guys and Tanjiro is the quintessential good guy. I really like the side characters as well. Excellent anime.

Tears:  Oh yes, during unexpected moments.

Men Without Women

Men Without Women    This is a masterpiece and a very good introduction to the author's novels and other short stories. If you have not read any Murakami books and are curious then this is the book to start.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning

Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning is as good as the rest of the films. I like this story and both the anime and live action films.

A Family

A Family    it is mediocre but I kind of enjoyed parts of it.

The Aosawa Murders

The Aosawa Murders   this one is a literary mystery and it is very well written. I enjoyed it very much and will recommend even if the genre is not your thing.

Note: Despite the fact that it is not something that usually captures my attention,  the font in this edition was really pleasant to read and liked it a lot.

Ride Or Die

Photo from wikipedia

Ride Or Die  This one had an interesting story of two emotionally unbalanced characters who platonically loved each other for a long time and one of them violently kills the other's physically abusive husband. Although two women are - kind of - on the run, this is not really like Thelma and Louise.

Tears: Yes, despite finding it a little out there at times. I'm on my period.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World I liked this one better than I thought I would, still it is just not my type of thing.

The Way of The House Husband

The Way of The House Husband has only one gimmick but that worked so well with me. I laughed out loud during viewing and loved the whole thing.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final    I liked it, especially when old enemies become new friends. I like a good man who inspires others to be good.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends

Photo from wikipedia

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends    it was very good. I especially liked the last fight (4 against the baddie)

Ma

Ma  was not very good, it was not very bad either. Decent enough to pass the time during fasting.

the Truth

The Truth is a little slice of life film and I like those. That certain Kore-eda touch was there too and I loved Catherine Deneuve in this. What a great actress!!!

King of Staten Island

 Photo from imdb

King of Staten Island was more emotional than I thought it would be. The film benefits from the likable on screen presence of its lead.

The Great Passage

The Great Passage turned out to be better than I expected. It is a nice little novel with a rom com feel (from male point of view). I liked it a lot and also my compliments to the translator.

The Miracles of The Namiya General Store

The Miracles of The Namiya General Store is wonderful. I read it slowly in order to make it last. This author is one of my favorite mystery writers. However this book is not a mystery and in that sense different from his other ones. This is not a bad thing though and I hope that everyone gives it a try.

Dororo

Photo from www.imdb.com

Dororo is the type of anime I like. The visuals, the action, the plot and the characters were all to my taste. The ending was sweet and I hope they'll make more adventures of Dororo and Hyakkumaru.
