The Girl In The Spider's Web the film was meh but Claire Foy's performance was very very good. 

Snabba Cash

Snabba Cash  I unexpectedly liked it a lot.  The series where I have not seen the cast beforehand are very effective in creating the illusion. I will not hesitate to recommend this one. 

Faceless Killers

Faceless Killers  I liked this a lot. Kurt Wallander is a bit of a naughty boy but his heart is in the right place and the mysteries and their resolutions were interesting. I hope to continue the series. 

And Then We Danced

And Then We Danced  is alright. I liked it and shed some tears but was not deeply moved etc. 

Red Dot

Red Dot  turned out to be a well acted, decent thriller and I may have been surprised by the twists if I had not watched a lot of films. 

Love And Anarchy

Love and Anarchy  is a lovely surprise. I enjoyed it so very much and loved the characters, the chemistry between the main leads and the message. I loved it. Actually I did not know any of the actors except one and saw her at a very different role. So probably it was easier to get into the whole thing. And first world problems are interesting. It was a good escape.

Caliphate is a tight, suspenseful, well acted series that I watched with bated breath. I actually cried in the end (despite it not being that sort of show) Highly recommended. 

Midsommar

Midsommar  well I loved it. Hereditary did not work for me as well as it did for the majority. But this time I was completely sucked in. Never a yawn during the considerable length of the whole thing, everything worked. The cast, the art direction, the lovely close ups on the faces of the actors, the plot. I highly recommend. 

Tumbbad

Tumbbad is as good as they say it is. Great atmosphere, art direction and story. And acting from a well selected cast. If you like Guillermo Toro films then definitely see this one. It is similar but different in all the good ways. 

The Wife

The Wife is my kind of film. Clean cinematography, close up shots of the actors' faces and very good performances. Highly recommended.

Beartown

Beartown turned out to almost nearly as good as A Man Called Ove (not as good, mind you, almost nearly as good).Mr. Backman is a very good storteller and this turned out to be one of the books that made me stop everything and continue listening. Marin Ireland is the reader and she is very good. All in all this may not be great literature but it is a great story told very very well. 

Britt-Marie Was Here

Britt-Marie Was Here is not a good novel, certainly nowhere near as good as A Man Called Ove. But I loved it and shed constant tears during reading. But good tears.

The Square

The Square would not be a film I'd have chosen if Lufthansa edited the content but they don't so I said why not? I kind of liked this director's Force Majeure and this one too is interesting and makes one keep watching but for some reason a certain something lacks in this guy's films (of the two I have watched so far). He is very good with actors though and I love the clean cinematography. 

A Man Called Ove

A Man Called Ove turned out to be as good as everyone says it is. In fact I actually cried during various parts of it (and I listened to it during my walks and probably caused some heads to turn). The story of Ove is touching, emotional and positive. There is humour and there are various emotions running through. And the best thing is that the reader Mr. George Newbern is amazing. He fits right in to the tone of the novel and doesn't over do it. I love it when this happens and am very happy with this novel and the reading of it. Highly recommended.   

The Crow Girl

The Crow Girl, purchased on a whim while at Taipei, I had high hopes for this one. However I was severely dissapointed. It never seemed to end and it was a huge relief to finally finish it. I even considered DNFing it. I don't recommend. 

Midnight Sun

Midnight Sun turned out to be not as good as Forbrydelssen or Borgen but still it was interesting to watch and the mystery was proper. The best things I liked were the cinematography, the acting by the two main leads. 

Force Majeure

Force Majeure is a film I wanted to see for a long time (but not enough to seek a dvd). When it showed up on Dvdigi I pleasantly set to watch. It is a good film. But having avoided spoilers I had the idea that it was an action or a suspense film. Well it had suspense but of the emotional kind. 

What would you do when your life partner runs away (taking his phone) leaving you and your kids behind in danger? 

I didn't think the issue was because he was a man. The guy left his family (his children!!!) behind to seek shelter during an avalanche. Well I thought that I'd immediately leave him. Seriously I wouldn't have anything to do with a man like that. However my mother thought that this is hasty and marriage needs compromise. Well they have two children who want their parents to stay together. But still, if I can't trust my partner in a crisis then I wouldn't be able to enjoy the good times with him either. 

The film has a clean cinematography and good acting with solid questions regarding marriage/life sharing.
