Shtisel was a welcome surprise. I never thought I'd like it but wanted to check it out and I was instantly hooked. It was good to the last drop.
The Dragon Republic is a good novel but for some reason I can't connect with these series. Nothing wrong with them and I actually like the writer's style (and am happy that she is trying her hand in historical fiction) however I could not connect.
Shadow And Bone I loved it. Loved it. It is such a good adaptation and I really liked the actors, the costumes, the whole art direction. Everything about it fits very well and I'm looking forward to the next season.
Jodhaa Akbar it was not as good this second time. And I did not even like it that much the first time.
Black Rose I liked it more than I thought I would. There is a reason Ms. Roberts is a best selling author, I suppose, she is a good storyteller and I really liked the main character. And I don't know anything about gardening so it was not that part for me but if you do then give it a go.
In The Fade well if would have been a fine film if not for one GLARING plot hole that unraveled the whole story for me. Diane Kruger though, is fantastic in this role.
King of Staten Island was more emotional than I thought it would be. The film benefits from the likable on screen presence of its lead.
The Yinyang Master well I liked this better than the previous Yinyang Master. The actors were better, the art direction was better and I liked the story more.
The High Note turned out to be a nice regular film. I liked it. I like Dakota Johnson for no particular reason.
What Happens To My Family is just what I needed. A 53 episodes of South Korean drama that made me laugh and cry.
The Cutting Room turned out to be an unexpected delight. It is a mystery but with mood, atmosphere and a different lead character (whom I liked a lot) surrounded by people I was interested to read about. There is nothing like the feeling when you discover a writer to your own heart.
