 How The Marquess Was Won I enjoyed this a lot. It is a bit verbose but not in an irritating way.  The intimate scenes were very tasteful. 

Silent Parade

 Silent Parade  I loved it. Perfect. The only thing that did not work for me was the reader but not because of anything being wrong in his reading. The performance was just not for me. 

Between Sisters

 Between Sisters  This author is a good storyteller. Even though I'm familiar with her themes now (this is kind of similar to Firefly Lane) I was engaged in the story and end up being satisfied. Recommended if the synopsis sounds good to you. The audio performance was very good too.

Never Love A Highlander

 

Never Love A Highlander  I'm not that particular about Highland romances and enjoyed this one.

Some information:

- Plucky heroine
- Mighty warrior who is tender and kind
- Lots of intimate scene but delicately described

Overall a good reading experience.

Overboard (2018)  I love the original. However the remake is not as good. Mainly because no sane woman will leave her three daughters (of various ages, eldest 13) with a man who is not of a good character. I could not get past it.

Arcane   this was seriously good. I do not like this sort of setting (sort of steam punkish, industrial) and I liked it very much. 

Little Gods

 Little Gods There is nothing wrong with it. It just did not work for me. The audio version is fine.

The Paying Guests

 The Paying Guests This is an excellent novel (but then again, I'm a fan) It just was not the right time for me to read it (hence the long time it took me to).

Club Shadowlands

 

Club Shadowlands This one is decent enough. It is for the readers who may be curious about BDSM which eases into it nicely. It is wholesome and consent is the word here. The intimate scenes however were not exactly to my taste (not because they were not hot, the prose did not appeal to me, that's all).

I recommend.

The Final Girl Support Group

 The Final Girl Support Group   well I have met the author years ago in Hong Kong and he seemed a very nice guy. I want to go easy but this is just not for me. The reader was very slow and for the first time I have listened to this book at 1.5 speed and it sounded normal.

Find You First

 Find You First  It was alright. There were some plot holes but all in all it was smooth and entertaining storytelling. The reader was good. But I don't think I'll try another novel by the same author. I need more heft in this genre I guess.

The Trip   it was fun and I did not expect it to be. A mixture of several types of jokes and I was entertained. 

The Borrowed

 

The Borrowed This one is a mixed bag. I did not care for the first story but I LOVED the third one. The rest were alright. The reader was good but his choice of voicing some very minor characters with a German accent was a bit puzzling.

Recommended if you love Hong Kong or Hong Kong urban action films.

Normal People    ok I did not get this one. I mean I liked the actors, the close up shots (these are my catnip) and art direction. But I did not get the characters, why they act the way they do. Erotic scenes between the leads were lovely.

Blue Light Yokohama  this one was interesting. It is indeed similar to Harry Hole novels. I liked it but not loved it.

The Third Charm  This one was soo good. I loved it to bits and laughed and then cried buckets. It was a bit religious but that is not a turn off for me if it has the right does and this one did. I loved the ending too.  I loved the main lead Seo Kang Joon. He was very good looking and his performance was so good. Same with the female lead. Natural looking and had great chemistry with everyone.  

McMafia

McMafia   well I liked it a lot. Although the main lead kind of turned me off (not his fault, it was just one of those things). 

Warm And Cozy

Warm And Cozy  started nicely but lost its steam halfway point. The female lead looked and acted similarly to Kim Sun Ah (which is unfortunate for this lady since Kim Sun Ah is awesome). The story just fizzled and never gained momentum. The location was great though.

Sex/Life  well I only watched it because it was talked about so much. It was ok I suppose and the ending was good (unexpected). I just was not for me.

You S:3  yes, it was kind of over the top and insane and I don't like the lead actor but I had a ball with this. 

Queen & Slim

Queen & Slim is the type of film that I like. A road film where the characters forced to flee from the law (but they are good people, only the circumstances affected their actions) I love the actors here (I have a fondness of Daniel Kaluuya). The chemistry of the two leads were insane and they felt so natural.

Tears: Unexpected tears in the end. 

Hacks
