Hotel Del Luna

Hotel Del Luna was downloaded and renewed many times since I just didn't like the look of it. And then I have watched IU (the female lead) in My Ajushi and fell for the drama and her acting so I decided to give this one a try during a period of wonky internet. And it got me from where I least expected it. The art direction and styling. I liked it so much that I was even inspired to paint my nails. The actors were good and the story was decent enough but the art direction, ahhhh, this drama is worth just for that. 

Sealed

Sealed is a horror novel and the first part really scared me, I got over it in the second part but can recommend if you are into something that will be downer in a good way. 

Hidden Agendas

Hidden Agendas well was not worth reading through the story just for the erotic bits (which were ok I suppose). 

The Birds

The Birds was even better than I (barely) remembered. This is a good film and I enjoyed it very much.

Mandy

Mandy was better than I expected and despite not really being into the kind of mood displayed in the film, I enjoyed it very much. It was different and interesting. 

The Honjin Murders

The Honjin Murders is alright. It is a locked down room mystery so if you like those give it a try. 

Before She Knew Him

Before She Knew Him is a regular old mystery. Not bad, not very good. Decent enough and the audible version was good so if you are in two minds about deciding which version to get, audio is a good choice. 

Behind The Scenes At The Museum

Behind The Scenes At The Museum turned out to be the perfect novel. I LOVED it to bits and highly recommend. I plan on posting a longer review on Goodreads. 

Overlord

Overlord surprised me in a good way. It has its flaws but not only I liked the sentiments and the special effects, I liked the cast too. 

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw  turned out to be not so good despite a good cast and fun actions scenes. 

Sorcerer To The Crown

Sorcerer To The Crown turned out to be a very good read. I actually kind of disliked the prose style at first but after a few chapters in, I found to my surprise that I cared for the characters and keep wondering what will happen to them. This is both whimsical and serious, has lots of action but plenty food for thought as well. Recommended.

Kahaani

Kahaani,  so it seems that the new blogger does not allow publish images through a url (although they show up when I first publish the post) so no photo for this one. I liked it during the first viewing and it certainly aged well. Recommended if you like mysteries. 

Broken

Broken is really good. Interestingly flawed characters and a proper mystery. This is one of the novels which it is necessary to read the earlier ones in the series (in this case both Will Trent and Grant County) to be able to really enjoy it. 

Storm Glass

Storm Glass turned out to be not bad for middle school category readers. 

Empresses In The Palace

Empresses In The Palace was very entertaining despite being old (that's one of the reasons I like costume dramas) 

Biz Böyleyiz

Biz Böyleyiz kötü değildi, ama iyi de değildi. İşte öyle orta karar bir zaman geçirme filmi. 

Human Acts

Human Acts is a difficult novel to read, mostly because it is so effective. A very difficult subject presented with such sensitivity and literary merit. I really liked it but do not think I'll re-read it any time soon. 

Highly recommended but prepare yourself to pain. 

Portrait of A Lady On Fire

Portrait of A Lady On Fire turned out to be one of those films that crept on me without me realising it. I actually fell asleep somewhere during the first half but stuck with it and not only because I rented it but because I liked the cinematography. And then I have found myself crying at the end of it and still think about it after a day. 

My Mister

My Mister turned out to be one of the best Korean Dramas I have watched. I loved it, so much. I have shed not rivers but oceans of tears during and liked everything about it but especially the relationship between the two main characters. It is just about a perfect drama with a great story and cast, good art direction and production. All in all highly recommended. 

Cold Cold Heart

Cold Cold Heart is a good read. I recommend the audio version too. It is not really my cup of tea and the mystery was not much of a mystery (to a jaded middle aged reader that is) but I love the characters and the sentiments. Recommended. 

Bizim İçin Şampiyon

Bizim İçin Şampiyon  evet bu filmi Ramazan ayında izlersem ağlamaktan susuz kalacağımı biliyordum. Öyle de oldu. Gözyaşları şelale oldu ve çok iyi buldum, biraz klişe olsa da. Ekin Koç iyi bir oyuncu. 

River God

River God turned out to be good storytelling. Very exciting and interesting. I recommend to the lovers of historical fiction.

365 Days

365 Days,  no man, just no. It is a soft core film with high production values. Nowhere near as good as 9 and A Half Weeks. Just plain bad. 

Hospital Playlist

Hospital Playlist ended up being a very good drama, tailored for me. Yes I have a weakness for medical dramas but this is really good with everyday situations, no real baddies, people acting normal and yes, a lot of tears from yours truly. And all these with actors I don't really care for. 

Chicago Typewriter

Chicago Typewriter turned out to be trendy drama with weak writing but I love all three leads so I had a great time watching it. Annnddd I have shed some tears during but not heart wrenching ones. 

Maisie Dobbs

Maisie Dobbs was ok, not spectacular but a decent enough story. Very English and I like English. 

Master's Sun

Master's Sun is as good as I remembered it - very little as it turned out- but So Ji Sub continues to be God's gift to women. He is so handsome it is a pleasure just looking at him.
