The Concubine turned to be entertaining enough not to put me to sleep. Mainly due to its great actors who didn't mind some very explicit intimate scenes. However apart from that this film turned out to be a bad type of Korean drama without TV restrictions. The story didn't have any depth and one didn't feel anything for anyone in it. Also the English title is sort of misleading since the only concubine worth about 10 minutes screen time in total was not even a proper secondary character. I'm glad I saw it on Netflix without any censor and also very happy that I didn't pay for the dvd or similar.
