Hide and Seek (China Version) well this turned out to be a pretty loyal remake of the original Korean film and I liked it. 

Lucid Dream

Lucid Dream is a film I was not really interested in because I thought it was going to be something like Tarsem's The Fall (not that it is a bad film, it just was not for me). This one is not like that. It had its faults but it was not a total dud either. 

Secrets of a Spinster

Secrets of a Spinster was a total disappointment. I finished it but still can not recommend. It felt so synthetic, so formulaic and I didn't like anyone in it. Oh and there was zero ero. 

Itaewon Class

Itaewon Class is entertaining. It is not a top class drama but I liked the art direction, the actors, the message of tolerance, the message of not being abusive to women, the message of youth being valuable and strong. Some tears were shed but it was not really a tear fest. Recommended. 

The Greatest Love

The Greatest Love yes, I watched it again. And again I had a great time. This drama maybe my all time favorite. 

Swan Song

Swan Song turned out to be a decent novel (thank God, it was a blind buy and I also got another novel by the same author without knowing anything but that it is horror). It is Stephen King lite. 

The Nutty Professor

The Nutty Professor this is the first time I saw this film. It is an oddity since usually it is the kind of film I should have watched in my youth but I'm not really a fan of Eddie Murphy. And I have mostly watched it without a single laugh except in two places (family scenes). No doubt he is a talented actor and comedian. 

Bad Guys

Bad Guys well  it started promising despite the totally clear cinematography choice where we get to see each pore in each actor's face. But went downhill after a while. It is only 11 episodes though and I watched it to the end, that's something I suppose. 

Kim Ji Young, Born 1982

Kim Ji Young, Born 1982 worked for me on almost all levels. It depicts the life of a female in a patriarchal society. 

Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures

Yanxi Palace well I went to it without knowing anything about it and enjoyed the story, costumes etc. Also, it was unexpectedly short. 

Doctor Sleep

Doctor Sleep turned out to be a film I liked but I suspect only because I read the novel (and also liked it very, very much). The cast, the visuals the tempo, everything worked for me. It is a good adaptation too. 

Fashion King

Fashion King I have watched this reviled drama because I love Yoo Ah In and wanted to see what people were complaining about. They were right. The only thing good in this was YAI. And the ending sucked. It is good that these dramas are legit on youtube though. 

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories Season 2

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories Season 2 ended up being OK. I liked some episodes better than others but that is expected no? 

Bloodride

Bloodride turned out to be a decent compilation of short horror episodes and I enjoyed all of them more than I expected to.

An Officer And A Gentleman  this one never gets old. I just loved it yet again in this umpteenth viewing.

Welcome to Waikiki

Welcome to Waikiki turned out to be very funny. I was not expecting that and despite the fact that some of the gags in the later episodes reminded me of Friends, I enjoyed it very much. 

Spark

Spark ended up a bit of a let down solely due to my own expectations. I love Japanese literature and this is not a bad novel. However it is a bit niche (I'm sure I'd like it a lot better if I was a late twenties, early thirties man, especially a performer) I still recommend it for the people who are after something different. 

Midsommar

Midsommar  well I loved it. Hereditary did not work for me as well as it did for the majority. But this time I was completely sucked in. Never a yawn during the considerable length of the whole thing, everything worked. The cast, the art direction, the lovely close ups on the faces of the actors, the plot. I highly recommend. 

Kingdom Season 2

Kingdom Season 2 was alright. Despite the fact that it is a good show for some reason I could not connect with it completely. I liked the second season a lot better though. 

Cuddle Weather

Cuddle Weather is not a good film, the main issue is the editing but the story telling is not very good either. However I watched it to the end solely based on the performances of the two leads and their adorable chemistry. 

Let's Eat 2

Let's Ear 2 is even better than the first one. Not only the food scenes are very good but I liked the characters, the message and how they all looked like real people. The chemistry between them were also very good. 

Do You Want To Start A Scandal

Do You Want To Start A Scandal turned out to be fluffy and entertaining, no substance but was just what I needed. 

The Good Manager

The Good Manager turned out to be an entertaining drama with a good cast and nice message. Liked it very much 

Knife

Knife well well after all the Harry Hole novels I still did not see that twist coming. Despite its flaws I'm once again hooked.

The Sparrow

The Sparrow turned out to be as good as everyone says it is. It is not an easy read though as you are attached to the characters even knowing how they are going to end up. Tears flowed at the end. 

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo turned out to be just what I needed. A film that does not take itself seriously and it made me laugh and was very entertaining. 

Guilty

Guilty has a polished look that somehow contradicts the message and I think misrepresents some of India's youth but I liked the actors and the message. It worked for me despite knowing it is not that good. 

Us

Us is a good horror film and I enjoyed it despite seeing the twist right away. Lupita N'yongo is a great actress. It is not as good as Get Out but still it worked for me. 

Voice

Voice turned out to be a decent/average crime show. I like these kind of shows so I enjoyed myself but it is not really very good. I love Jang Hyuk and he is his usual good self. The other actors were all good. The show generally has a conservative and religious point of view but not hammer on the head type, more subtle. I liked the psycho evil baddie and his comeuppence was satisfying to watch. I also liked that the rot in the establishment is shown (a popular theme with Korean crime shows). 

The Memory Police

The Memory Police is not the author's finest effort but it was still suitably bleak and readable. I did not really care for the reading performance but it is more because of my taste than it being bad. 

Spirited Away

Spirited Away gets better with each viewing. I liked it even more this time. 

My Neighbour Totoro

My Neighbour Totoro is such a beautiful and timeless film that gives pleasure at every single viewing. 

Kill Me, Heal Me

Kill Me, Heal Me turned out to be not really to my taste but of course I enjoyed it at an average level and shed some tears during some scenes. However the collagen job on the upper lip of the lead actress was most distracting. Seriously.
